Our foundation

What is Alteia Fund Management Ltd

Alteia Fund Management Ltd (“AFML”) is an investment manager regulated by the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius. AFML manages specialised investment vehicles focused on financing trade flows across Africa and the GCC.

Its investment approach is centred on short-duration trade finance transactions, supported by defined underwriting criteria and controls around concentration, tenor and counterparty exposure.

Trade finance expertise

AFML has a proven track record of originating, structuring and managing trade finance transactions throughout Africa and the GCC. Our capabilities encompass transaction sourcing, credit assessment, structuring, execution and portfolio monitoring, covering multiple sectors, counterparties and trade corridors.

This regional expertise is supported by established borrower and market relationships, alongside a multidisciplinary investment team with extensive backgrounds in trade finance, banking, credit, legal, risk management and operations.

International presence

Africa and the GCC are home to established trade corridors supported by significant flows of goods between regional and international markets. These markets continue to generate demand for trade finance to support the movement of goods and working capital needs.

Through the wider Alteia network in Mauritius, Johannesburg, Riyadh and Abu Dhabi, AFML benefits from regional market knowledge, established relationships and proximity to the markets and counterparties underlying its investment activities.

Role within the Alteia Group

Alteia Group is the shared brand under which Alteia Fund Management Ltd (“AFML”), Alteia Capital and Alteia Investment Management Ltd (“AIML”) operate. Each is a separate legal entity operating within its respective jurisdiction and regulatory framework.

AFML is the Mauritius-based investment manager within this structure, with responsibility for the investment vehicles under its management and operating in accordance with its own regulatory obligations.

Mandate first
